Dr. Stewart Webb

Optometrist in PlainviewDr. Stewart Webb is graduate of Plainview High School. He was involved in extracurricular activities and sports in high school. Dr. Stewart graduated with his bachelors from University of Houston and went on to complete his optometry training in 1961. Upon graduating from optometry school, he served as an optometry officer in the United States army for three years.

In addition to serving his community professionally, Dr. Stewart has been incredibly active in community service for more than four decades. He has been the president of the PTA on several occasions in addition to serving as Toast Master, a Red Rage booster club member and the Chamber of Commerce. He has also served as coach of the “little dribblers”.

Dr. Stewart holds the highest level of licensure in the state of Texas. He has served as President of the South Plains Optometric Society on several occasions.Dr. Stewart has also earned lifetime membership in the Texas Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. He pioneered the verification of soft contact lens that is currently being utilized all over America and throughout the world.

Dr. Stewart and his wife of over 40 years have six grown children and three grand children. Dr. Stewart enjoys bird hunting and hopes to take up golf this year.

Dr. Kent Webb

Plainview OptometristDr. Kent Webb graduated from Plainview High School in 1991. After completing his Bachelor of Science at Texas Tech, he received his Doctorate in Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry.

Dr. Kent is also very committed to community service. He is past president of the YMCA and currently serves a s a board member. He and his wife are also active in the American Cancer Society and were co-chairs of the Cotton Barons Ball in 2009. He also has served on the Lakeside Elementary Advisory Community Board and the Bandina Christian Youth Camp Development Board. He has also coached “little dribblers”.

Dr. Kent holds the highest level of licensure granted by the Texas Board of Optometry. He is an active member in the American Optometry Association and the Texas Optometry Association. Dr.Kent currently serves as treasurer of the South Plains Optometric Society.

Dr. Kent and his wife are the proud parents of one boy. Dr. Kent enjoys playing golf and going to the lake.

Dr. Linsie Mathis

Eye Doctor in PlainviewDr. Mathis graduated from Nazareth High School in 2001. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from West Texas A&M University in 2005 and a Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Houston, College of Optometry in 2009.

She holds the highest level of licensure to practice optometry granted by the Texas Optometry Board. Mathis is a member in good standing of the American Optometric Society and the Texas Optometric Association. She currently serves as Committee Chairman for the South Plains Optometric Society.

Dr. Mathis is married and enjoys helping her husband on the farm. She is involved with her church and the community through the Lions Club and Floyd County Friends. In her spare time she loves being with her family and friends whether spending time with them at the lake, at cookouts or having them over for game night.
